Who's that Girl?

Kate Styles has always been a die-hard music lover, and also happens to be one of the premier open format female DJs in the country. She’s performed for the NY Knicks at Madison Square Garden, performed with Questlove for Comedy Central, and plays for party-goers like Drake, Zoe Kravitz, and Mark Cuban to name(drop) a few.
Since music has always been in her blood, Kate has now created her own exclusive rock n roll chic clothing brand - Bad Reputation. The brand features one of a kind, handmade items that allow anyone to stand out from the crowd and channel their inner, and outer, rockstar. Kate always has the help of her trusted - and sassy - assistant, Joan Jett the Cat (who she adopted from a member of Blondie).
As a teenager, Kate was always customizing and reworking clothes to match her own style. For her Bad Reputation brand, she upcycles and revamps basic men’s band t-shirts into cool rock n roll tops, jackets, flannels and even home decor. She adorns pieces with hand-cut leather fringe and adds intricate details by mixing mediums and textures like metal studs, leather lacing and braided fabrics, which add a glam but rebellious touch. Kate has also created her own line of original t-shirts, with her signature rock n roll edge.
Upcycling is a major part of the Bad Reputation brand. This supports less textile waste and more unique, bespoke designs. Over 75% of our clothing pieces have been upcycled from existing materials. Kate transforms these pieces and creates one of a kind pieces that simply cannot be replicated.
Inclusivity is a core principle at Bad Reputation. All people deserve to feel welcome, represented and respected. Our clothes are all-gener/gender neutral (although we do list things in men’s/women’s sizes for a convenient reference). We want you to wear whatever makes you feel like the absolute rockstar that you are. We are a rock n roll community.
Bad Reputation pieces are all hand-made in Brooklyn, New York by Kate Styles, with the help of Joan Jett the Cat. Meow.
